Fraser Smith BSc FRICS

Fraser worked with Richard Ellis (now CBRE) until 1985 when he opened the Scottish office of the London practice of Stewart Newiss, Chartered Surveyors.

After assisting in expanding the company in the UK and mainland Europe, Fraser bought the Scottish company, acquired a few key partners and changed the name to Smith Cole Wright.  Within a year the company expanded by opening an office in Newcastle to complement the Glasgow office.

The firm continue to specialise in the acquisition, improvement and sale of commercial property assets throughout the UK for property companies and funds, many of whom have been associated with the firm for over 25 years including M&G, Threadneedle, PEEL, Helical Bar and Artisan, the South African-based real estate investment/development group, to name a few.  As a result the company’s contacts are at the most senior level.

Fraser specialises in the commercial investment side of the business and also advises the Board of Bilsdale Properties on investment strategy for their £400m UK property portfolio.  He was born in Glasgow, is a member of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, enjoys shooting whenever he can and has a passion for wine.
